Book Week 2020

We would like to inform you that this month of February, we are celebrating a new event in our school, “Book Week 2020”. The objective of this event is to promote international mindedness by valuing reading books. We are hoping by this event; CMIS Community will understand more the value of reading. We encourage students to become more proficient readers because we believe that reading is very important skills to get varied information.

The theme for this year is “The more you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go.” -Dr. Seuss-. We are preparing some learning engagement related to this even such as D.E.A.R or drop everything and read, reading buddy on the red day, reading with parents on profession day, listening to digital book on pyjama day and fashion show with book characters. Since we have some fun activities, we encourage our students to be balanced as well with joining some competition per age level e.g. picture book, storytelling and book review competitions. To encourage our students to be more proficient readers we also choose our annual best readers per age level.
